Yes. Uretech HFS is both BBA HAPAS approved and manufactured to ISO 9001:2008 standards. Uretech HFS has been used by local authorities in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

2) Does Uretech HFS High friction surfacing have any environmental advantages over hot melt surfacing systems?
Yes. Per square meter of coating laid, Uretech HFS has a carbon footprint just 31% of that of the standard Hot Melt Systems. Uretech HFS was also presented with an independent 'Environmental Innovation' award and is BBA HAPAS approved.

3) How long will a Uretech HFS surface last?
Applied on a suitable road surface, Uretech HFS is proven to last over ten years whilst in comparison, hot applied surfacing can last as little as three months.

4) What are the coverage rates of the Uretech highways product range?
The expected product coverage rates are as follows however it should be noted that differences in application surface and methods can produce variable rates.

● Uretech HFS - High Friction Surfacing - 7.5m² per 20kg kit.
● Uretech RRS - Road (pothole) Repair System - 0.011m³ per 20kg kit. (1m² @ 11mm depth)
● Uretech TS - TrackSafe Demarcation - 15m² to 20m² per kit.
● Uretech MTC - Micro Trenching Compound - 0.011m³ per 20kg kit.

5) How is the Uretech RRS Pothole repair system different from the basic bitumen based systems?
Unlike bitumen based products, Uretech RRS is a permanent repair system that is expected to outlast the road in which the repairs are completed.

6) How do I dispose of used containers and is the material classed as hazardous waste?
The condition of this product will determine the required method of disposal. Used containers with fully cured product remaining around the edges or bottom of the container should have the hazard label removed or obscured before disposal as general building waste. When disposing of the used containers, ensure that they are empty of as much product as possible. For single component products; leave the containers to allow the residual product to cure and for multi-component products; mix the remaining components together and allow the material to fully cure. Uncured/Liquid product should be disposed of as hazardous waste.

7) Can Uretech HFS be supplied in different colours?
Yes. Uretech HFS can be manufactured to any desired colour however the resin colour is almost entirely hidden by the selected aggregate. When a colour not provided by the aggregate is required (demarcation) then Uretech TrackSafe can be used to overcoat the HFS and provide a range of colours.
